Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Train – Supervise a team of technicians, ensuring they are skilled, efficient, and safety-focused.
Maintain & Repair – Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
Optimize Performance – Drive continuous improvement, cost savings, and energy management initiatives.
Utilize Technology – Ensure the proper use of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with Leadership – Work with management to maintain budgetary control over labor, materials, and capital projects.
Operate & Inspect Equipment – Safely use motorized lifts and rental equipment as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
4+ years of experience in warehouse or processing facility maintenance OR a combination of experience and trade school.
2+ years of experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems (for automated sites).
4+ years of industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO₂) preferred.
Certification in Refrigeration Operator 2 (RO2) or Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
Strong understanding of electrical safety, fire protection, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) (may be required at some locations).
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Work Environment & Requirements:
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F in cold storage or up to 100°F in dry storage while wearing company-provided protective gear.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (may vary by facility).
Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends as needed.
Some locations may require working at heights and in high-noise environments.
