We are seeking a Multi Skilled Automation Engineer (Master Mechanic) to help provide reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at our fully auto mated Gloucester site.

Applicants must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering to be considered.

Salary: £44,811.56 per annum, paid monthly

Shifts: Monday to Friday, working 06:00 -14:00/14:00 - 22:00 rotating. Working 37.5 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
  • Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving.
  • Maintenance is carried out in both ambient and cold store environment to a temperature of -18, just like working in a freezer however full cold store spec PPE and equipment is provided.
  • At times work using safety harnesses & on ladders at height.

Who we're looking for:

  • Electrical engineering qualification and experience essential
  • Experience of working with automation & PLCs.
  • Working safely at height trained.
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
  • Able to drive to get to site.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Some experience with Mechanical Engineering
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 degrees in cold storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
  • Must be able to work at Height
