Job Description:
Brains & Motion Education is looking for energetic and versatile Structured Recess & After-School Fitness Instructors to join our team! In this role, you will be the bridge between a student’s academic day and their physical well-being. Whether you are leading a high-energy recess period during the school day or facilitating structured fitness enrichment after the final bell, you will be a key figure in fostering physical literacy, teamwork, and positive social growth. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire students through active play, organized movement, and skill-building in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
In this role, you will:
- Lead Diverse Environments: Pivot seamlessly between facilitating lively, inclusive playground recess and directing structured, goal-oriented after-school fitness sessions.
- Innovate & Coordinate Play: Organize and lead a variety of activities—from spontaneous "game of the day" play during recess to consistent, curriculum-based fitness routines after school that keep students motivated.
- Promote Positive Development: Encourage safe, healthy habits and conflict resolution by modeling sportsmanship, leadership, and inclusivity in every interaction.
- Inspire Engagement: Actively engage diverse groups of students (20+), ensuring all participants, regardless of fitness level, feel welcome, involved, and empowered to succeed.

Qualifications:
- Passion for playing games and leading activities with children, with the ability to model positive behavior.
- Prior experience in a school setting as an instructor or teacher's aide (PE instruction or sports coaching experience preferred).
- Ability to work with students in grades K-8.
- Ability to manage and engage larger groups of students (20+).
- Reliable transportation.
- Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
- Criminal background check required.
Details:
- Wage: $25/hr.
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- Schedule: Monday through Friday schedule will be (10:30am - 1pm) and (3pm - 5pm)
- Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal.
