About Brains and Motion Education:

Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) provides after-school enrichment programs in STEM, Arts, and Sports at schools and community locations. Our programs give students opportunities to learn new skills, explore their interests, and participate in engaging activities in a supportive environment.

Position Overview

Brains & Motion Education is seeking a Music Instructor to lead after-school enrichment activities for students in grades K–8. The ideal candidate has a background in music and enjoys working with children in a classroom or enrichment setting.
This is a part-time position beginning September 15, 2026.

In this role, you will:

• Lead engaging music activities for students in grades K–8.
• Teach age-appropriate music concepts and fundamentals.
• Facilitate activities such as Music and Movement and digital music tools such as Soundtrap, as applicable to the assigned program.
• Adjust activities based on students' ages, skill levels, and interests.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage student participation, creativity, and collaboration.
• Maintain appropriate classroom expectations and student safety.
• Follow BAM! program guidelines and communicate any student or classroom concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience or education in music, music education, performing arts, or a related field.
• Approximately 1–2 years of experience in music-related instruction, activities, or performance is preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
• Comfortable working with students in grades K–8.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Reliable and able to arrive on time for scheduled programs.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned program location.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Willingness to complete required training.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20–50 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Wage: $ 32.00/hour
• Job Type: Part-Time
• Start Date: September 15, 2026
• Availability: Tuesdays, between 1:45 PM and 4:10 PM PST
