In 2014 Carrum reinvented the Centers of Excellence (COE) category in digital health. Today, 95% of the US population lives within 50 miles of a Carrum COE and our providers rank in the top 10% nationally. Our team’s execution has been recognized by the venture community and we’ve raised more than $96M in aggregate from investors like OMERS, Tiger Global Management and Wildcat Ventures. Our impact has been externally proven in a 2021 RAND Corporation study and featured as a Harvard Business School (HBS) case study.

We are looking for a Sr. Director, Health Plan Partnerships to help us continue to build our success with Health Plans. The Sr. Director, Health Plan Partnerships will play a critical role in our success.

Reporting to the VP, Health Plan Partnerships, you will own relationships with our existing partners and be crucial in stewardship of our health plan partnership; helping us ensure the strength of our new, growing segment. The base salary for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 plus variable compensation based on performance.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Manage the end-to-end relationship of assigned health plans, ensuring satisfaction, resolving challenges, and driving long-term growth.
  • Own the design and activation of VoluntaryFlex across contracted and non-contracted partners.
  • Drive the adoption of VoluntaryFlex as well as the identification of new product offerings and upsell initiatives within existing health plan relationships, both contracted and non-contracted.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic conversations, highlighting Carrum’s value and uncovering new opportunities for partnership expansion.
  • Working with operations to improve operational efficiency and ensure consistent delivery of Carrum’s solutions.
  • Develop strategic account plans to identify and prioritize upsell opportunities within health plan accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Channel Sales, Product, Operations, and Implementation, to deliver seamless partner experiences.
  • Partner with leadership and health plan stakeholders to align on shared goals and drive joint initiatives forward.
  • Create and analyze data-driven insights and dashboards to monitor account performance, inform decision-making, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about healthcare industry trends and competitive dynamics to ensure Carrum remains a valuable and innovative partner.
  • Advocate for the voice of health plan partners internally, ensuring their needs and feedback inform Carrum’s product and partnership strategy.

We’re excited about you because…

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience within a health plan in product, sales, underwriting, operations or account management and significant experience working with health plans or TPAs.
  • Experience in revenue cycle management and/or claims processing and workflows.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing complex, high-value partnerships, ideally within value-based care or digital health solutions.
  • Deep understanding of health plan decision-making, operations, and strategic priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for storytelling and driving decision-making.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, client success, data, and product teams to ideate, complete projects, and drive impactful results.

Why you’ll love working with us...
