At Carrum, we live and breathe the mission of transforming the healthcare system to create an unmatched experience for patients. If you are passionate about changing healthcare and want to finally get rid of surprise bills, poor quality, and high prices, while thriving in an entrepreneurial, cutting-edge environment, we would love to connect with you.

In 2014 Carrum reinvented the Centers of Excellence (COE) category in digital health. Today, 90% of the US population lives within 50 miles of a Carrum COE and our providers rank in the top 10% nationally. Our team’s execution has been recognized by the venture community and we’ve raised more than $96M in aggregate from investors like OMERS, Tiger Global Management and Wildcat Ventures. Our impact has been externally proven in a 2021 RAND Corporation study and featured as a Harvard Business School (HBS) case study.

Reporting to the Director of Engagement Marketing, you'll serve as a strategic marketing partner — connecting member engagement, employer relationships, and cross-functional teams to build programs that drive real utilization and demonstrate measurable value. You won't be handed a playbook. You'll help write it.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 -$140,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Own employer marketing strategy — partner closely with Client Success to support HR and benefits leaders with data-backed activation strategies that drive awareness, registrations, and engagement. You'll be the marketing lead for a portfolio of employer clients.

  • Turn data into direction — use behavioral signals, engagement trends, and population insights to inform campaign strategy and identify the highest-impact opportunities.

  • Shape and orchestrate campaigns — define audience, messaging, and channel approach, then partner with Content and Automation teams to bring programs to life.

  • Connect marketing to the member journey — ensure programs move people from awareness through enrollment and into active use, reducing friction at every step.

  • Drive precision marketing — reach the right members at the right moment using targeted campaigns, geo-based strategies, and service-specific messaging.

  • Optimize through collaboration — work across Automation, Data, Content, Product, and Care teams to test, learn, and improve continuously.

  • Make performance meaningful — translate campaign results into clear insights that connect marketing activity to registrations, engagement, and member outcomes.

  • Build for scale — identify what's working and help codify it into repeatable playbooks that can be applied across clients and populations.

  • Support growth initiatives — bring the member and employer perspective into new product launches and partner integrations.

  • You measure success by your ability to translate marketing into real outcomes — driving registrations, engagement, and ultimately helping members access high-quality care

We’re excited about you because…

  • 5+ years of strategic marketing experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment — B2B2C experience is strongly preferred. We're equally excited about backgrounds in digital health, benefits technology, fintech, HR tech, insurance, or any space where you've had to market through an employer or intermediary to reach an end consumer.

  • A bias toward outcomes, not activity — you measure yourself by engagement, activation, and ROI, not impressions and sends.

  • Data fluency — you're comfortable working with behavioral and utilization data to identify trends, segment audiences, and inform strategy. You don't need to be an analyst, but you know how to ask the right questions and act on the answers.

  • Stakeholder credibility — you've influenced risk-averse decision-makers with data-backed recommendations and the confidence to guide — not just inform — decisions.

  • A practical AI toolkit — you use AI to move faster and think sharper, not as a novelty. You have a clear point of view on where it adds real value in a marketing workflow.

  • Cross-functional instincts — you don't just keep people informed. You align, collaborate, and move work forward together.

  • Intellectual curiosity — you stay current on shifts in consumer behavior, emerging channels, and the broader landscape of employer-sponsored benefits — and you translate those signals into strategy.

  • A builder's mindset — you're energized by ambiguity, comfortable operating without a complete roadmap, and skilled at creating momentum in complex environments.

  • We carve out time to let go of work to celebrate our successes and have fun. We’re a remote-first company with employees all over the United States and two office locations in San Francisco and Chicago. We support our employees during the work day and beyond with flexible working hours, generous time off, paid parental leave, and opportunities to connect with coworkers both virtually and in-person.

Carrum has an active employee-led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) committee and several employee resource groups (ERGs).
