The Process Improvement Lead is responsible for driving process transformation across Catalant by leveraging Lean/Continuous Improvement practices and AI- and automation-enabled workflows. This role partners closely with leaders in Platform Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, and other key functions to re-engineer business processes, identify automation opportunities, new workflows, drive measurable gains in productivity and business performance.
The focus is on process design, change leadership, and adoption of digital solutions shaping how they are used to improve scalability, cash flow, customer delivery, and employee productivity.

What you'll do
- Process Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead process discovery sessions with functional leaders to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities across core workflows (Order-to-Cash, Client Onboarding, Contracting, Vendor Management, Project Delivery).
- Facilitate value-stream mapping and redesign sessions that simplify, standardize, and scale processes.
- Drive adoption of Lean/CI practices (A3 problem-solving, Kaizen events) to reduce waste and improve quality.
- Maintain a central process repository (SOPs, workflows, playbooks) in Confluence for cross-functional visibility.
- AI & Automation Enablement (Process Lens)
- Partner with functional leaders to identify where AI and workflow automation can eliminate manual tasks, reduce cycle times, or improve decision-making.
- Translate process requirements into use cases for technology/analytics teams (e.g., automated invoice approvals, predictive AR collection triggers, self-service onboarding readiness checks).
- Work alongside Platform Ops, Finance, and Technology to implement and adopt AI-driven insights (forecasting, resource allocation, risk detection) that enhance process execution.
- Champion process-first adoption of tools to ensure solutions align with redesigned workflows.
- Track and report measurable impact (e.g., % of manual touchpoints automated, cycle-time reduction, error-rate improvement).
- Change Leadership & Collaboration
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to build consensus around process changes and automation.
- Provide training and coaching to functional leaders on incorporating AI/automation into redesigned processes.
- Act as a liaison between business functions and technology teams, ensuring business needs drive automation priorities.
- Embed a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in all process changes.
- Performance Management
- Define process-focused KPIs and leading indicators in partnership with Finance and functional leaders (e.g., invoice cycle time, billing accuracy, AR backlog, onboarding readiness).
- Develop dashboards and scorecards to track transformation outcomes and ensure accountability.
- Quantify and communicate ROI of AI- and automation-driven process improvements to leadership.
What you'll bring
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in process improvement, operations excellence, or transformation roles, with exposure to AI/automation-enabled workflows.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent required.
- Strong process-mapping, facilitation, and change-management skills; able to lead workshops with cross-functional leaders.
- Proven ability to partner with technology and analytics teams to translate process needs into digital solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; adept at influencing senior leaders.
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with focus on measurable business impact.

We have a flexible hybrid work model, where employees local to our Boston headquarters come into our office on a flexible basis, and other employees are fully remote.
