Position Summary
The Senior Data Integration Engineering will work across healthcare solutions to optimize our data pipelines. As a hands-on technical leader, you will also contribute to architecture and automation, writing code and ETL scripts, building out capabilities leveraging our AWS based healthcare platform, supporting ongoing initiatives, and mentoring. This key role requires hands-on involvement as a data engineer and solution architect. This role will involve occasional customer-facing activities via audio/video conferencing, therefore great interpersonal and communication skills are required. The role is an outstanding opportunity for someone who has a good foundation in data engineering and wants to grow their career and increase their expertise in AWS infrastructure & Big Data.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
- Build healthcare data interoperability solutions leveraging AWS Data platforms.
- Drive initiatives to further derive value from ChartSpan data assets.
- Extraction/Transformation/Loading (ETL) techniques for integrating data from multiple healthcare IT systems.
- Write on-premise python scripts to transform data from EHR system reports to ingestible data.
- Onboard clients to automate integrations using existing infrastructure.
- In this position, you will guide our customers, internal and external to extract the appropriate data from a variety of healthcare IT systems into specified formats
- Maintaining, monitoring and improving business-critical healthcare system integrations.
- Sound judgment and decision-making, and the appropriate sense of urgency and is a self-starter
- Write SQL queries, ETL, python scripts to support data ingestion and analysis
- Track data interoperability projects and initiatives
- Work with the Data Ops team on the Technical Assessment process which includes creating new scripts using Python to parse data.
- Troubleshoot applications and integrations to ensure quick continuation of service.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Expertise in healthcare data interoperability, hands-on experience building solutions leveraging HL7 standards - Required
- SQL and ETL experience -Required
- Strong understanding of database concepts, including normalization and logical modeling - Required
- Python scripting, including common statistical libraries such as Numpy and Pandas - Required
- Healthcare EHR interoperability - Required
- AWS Suite: DynamoDB, S3, Cloudwatch, AppSync, Athena, Lambda - Highly Desirable
- Mirth Connect - Preferred
- Exposure to data quality analysis, statistical analysis, and AI/ML - Preferred
- Expose to FHIR technology - Preferred
- Strong sense of ownership, customer obsession, and drive. - Required
