About the Role
Graphika is seeking analysts to join its industry-leading Intel team. Ideal candidates will have proven expertise in at least one of the following subject matter areas: open-source investigations into online scams and fraud, generative AI abuses, or Chinese and Iranian influence operations on social media. We are looking for people who can demonstrate curiosity of mind, critical thinking, and impeccable communication skills, able to quickly and accurately distill an abundance of complex information down to the actionable intelligence required by our clients. You will need an exhaustive eye for detail and ability to work to high standards of accuracy and analytic rigor, as well as the adaptability, humility, and initiative required to succeed at a fast-growing startup.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Analyst
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact insights and analysis for Graphika's diverse client base. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of activities, from in-depth subject matter coverage to strategic client engagement and internal collaboration.
In-Depth Analytical Coverage and Insight Generation:
- You will be responsible for providing comprehensive coverage across an assigned subject matter portfolio. This involves diligently monitoring developments, identifying emerging trends, and dissecting complex information to produce actionable insights tailored for a wide range of industries that Graphika serves. Your analysis will empower clients to make informed decisions and navigate complex information environments.
End-to-End Investigation and Production:
- You will lead and execute longer-form investigations and in-depth analysis. This process extends from the initial conceptualization of a research question through to the final production of client- or publication-ready deliverables. This includes rigorous data collection, methodological application, critical evaluation, and clear articulation of findings in a compelling format.
Expert Client Briefings and Stakeholder Engagement:
- A crucial aspect of this role involves delivering clear, concise, and impactful briefings to clients and external stakeholders. You will leverage your advanced subject matter expertise and deep knowledge of Graphika's products and capabilities to present complex findings effectively. These briefings will be instrumental in building client trust and demonstrating the value of Graphika's analytical offerings.
Marketing, Communications, and External Representation:
- You will actively support Graphika's marketing and communications efforts, contributing to the organization's public presence and thought leadership. This includes engaging with media outlets, contributing to public-facing reports, and representing Graphika at industry events, thereby amplifying the reach and impact of our work.

Requirements
- 4-7 years of professional experience analyzing or investigating information operations, scams and frauds, and other promotion of dangerous or illicit goods online or trends in self-harm, child safety, suicide, and eating disorders on social media.
- Demonstrated ability to use industry-standard tools, platforms, and databases to query, manipulate, and assess large volumes of open-source social media data.
- An interest or understanding of large scale social network analysis or ability to dive into and analyze big data.
- Proven ability to think critically and form sound assessments based on a variety of open-source indicators.
- Impeccable writing skills, able to quickly produce clear and concise reports.
- Standout verbal communication skills, able to deliver briefings to a variety of clients and external audiences.
- A track record of working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- A curious mindset and the desire to answer difficult questions.
