Awards & Recognition:

Position: Staff Accountant

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be working directly with senior leadership to analyze and solve business problems, structure processes to achieve efficiencies, and have a front-row seat as the company scales in a hyper-growth start-up environment.

The Finance team works closely with functional departments across the company to drive decision making and help plan for the company’s future growth.

Candidates local to Austin preferred (employee-led hybrid schedule). However, we will consider 100% remote candidates!

What you'll do:

  • Assist with financial reporting including the monthly close process, revenue and costing, and budget variance analysis
  • Maintain and improve company metric reporting and KPIs
  • Oversee the invoicing, collections, bank reconciliation and revenue recognition process
  • Coordinate all payables on operating expense classification
  • Assist with general corporate responsibilities including HR processing, coordination of state filings, documentation, etc.
  • Coordinate with external audit contacts on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in reconciliation of financial data
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed in a start-up environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience problem solving in an unstructured environment
  • Demonstrated familiarity of general business and accounting principles and strong understanding of GAAP
  • Previous experience building financial models a plus
