Warehouse Inventory Specialist

We are looking to hire an operational specialist in Inventory to work across our network of sites in Europe.

Our Special Operations teams play a key role in implementing Lineage’s preferred warehouse management systems and processes. The team is made up of experienced managers and capability leads who analyse operational workflows in detail and collaborate closely with warehouse operations, project management, and IT. Together, they ensure the successful rollout and integration of Lineage’s warehouse management solutions across our network.

Working within a high performing team of specialists; you will use your expertise to support the warehouse operation onsite by developing and delivering training; and helping to stabilise the new warehouse solution.

The role can be based anywhere in Europe; regular travel to our locations across Europe should be expected. Some travel to the UK/Europe for training and learning may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Capability Lead Inventory will need to be the subject matter expert (SME) in all things relating to inventory at the site in relation to a 3PL environment

  • Work with the onsite team to audit the existing inventory alongside the procedures in place and help implement recommendations.

  • Knowledgeable in Lean Inventory SOP’s

  • Create inventory work instructions in relation to the new WMS

  • Ensure consistency in process adherence across the Lineage sites

  • Devise the training plan and ensure it is adhered to ensure timescales are met in relation to Go Live

  • Continuously look for improvements in the processes and feed that back into the team

  • Work as part of a team with the warehouse and admin capability leads to ensure findings are shared and documented

  • Due to the nature of the business at times you will be required to support ongoing operations as needed

Key requirements for the position:

  • Strong Inventory background, preferably specific to the WMS

  • Have an inquisitive mind and challenge where things don’t look right

  • Has a passion for training people and be able to adapt to meet the needs of the group

  • Ability to set up Cycle Count from scratch

  • Know how to set up bespoke services

  • Experience in implementations across multiple warehouses - ideal

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Advanced IT skills

  • The ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time especially in the run up to Go Live
