This role is a great fit for an HVAC technician or refrigeration tech who wants to grow into industrial refrigeration and ammonia systems. You’ll start with hands-on maintenance work across the facility and gradually build your refrigeration skills with training, mentorship, and real exposure to larger systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help keep our facility running safely and efficiently by maintaining equipment, systems, and building infrastructure. Day-to-day work includes:

• Performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment

• Supporting refrigeration system inspections and entry-level refrigeration maintenance (training provided for ammonia systems)

• Assisting with maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure safe operation

• Documenting completed work and communicating equipment concerns or updates to leadership

• Pitching in with other maintenance tasks as needed

• Use power tools and basic welding or cutting equipment

• Operate lifts or other motorized equipment (training provided)

Minimum qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in HVAC or refrigeration
  OR a combination of hands-on experience and trade school

• Exposure to refrigeration systems (Freon, CO₂, or ammonia is a plus but not required)

• Ability to follow maintenance instructions and work independently with minimal supervision

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Basic computer skills for documentation

• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in cold storage environments (down to -20°F) or warmer areas (up to 100°F) with provided PPE

• Flexible schedule availability, including occasional weekends

• Some sites involve higher noise levels or working at heights (training and safety equipment provided)

Pay Range:$24.71 - $41.68
