Transportation Compliance Practitioner
Lineage
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and audit commercial driver and vehicle files to ensure full regulatory compliance
- Apply for, renew, and track transportation permits (e.g., LCV, over-dimensional, etc.)
- Manage licensing for commercial vehicles
- Prepare and maintain truck authority binders
- Request and process driver abstracts and carrier profiles
- Update and maintain compliance data across systems (e.g., TruckMate, Lytx, CarriersEdge, SharePoint, Box)
- Track and assign mandatory driver training and certifications
- Monitor and audit third-party carrier documentation (COI, WCB, safety certificates, etc.)
- Support internal and external compliance audits, including documentation preparation
- Generate and maintain compliance reports
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of driver orientations
- Support driver safety meetings and training initiatives
- Assist with driver account setup in ELD systems
- Develop and update training materials, including presentations
- Support collision file management by collecting and uploading required documentation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Transportation, Logistics, Safety Management, or Business Administration (preferred)
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in fleet administration, transportation safety, or compliance within Canada
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of National Safety Code (NSC), Transport Canada regulations, and CVOR requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with fleet and compliance systems such as Samsara, PeopleNet, TruckMate, and dash cam platforms
- Analytical Ability: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data, identify risks, and recommend solutions
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable supporting training and presentations
- Additional Assets:
- Experience working in a unionized environment
- French language proficiency
- Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills
