Industrial Maintenance Technician (Nights)

Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Shift differential: $1.25/hr
Required plant checks every other weekend
In this role, you’ll be a key part of keeping our facility running safely and efficiently. You’ll work hands-on with a variety of equipment and systems to ensure everything from machinery to building infrastructure stays in top working condition.- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and facility structures following safety and company standards
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and calibration on equipment across the facility and surrounding grounds
- Support automated systems by maintaining and testing components such as sensors, switches, and control devices
- Complete basic inspections and repairs on refrigeration systems (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2 depending on site)
- Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Accurately document maintenance work, inspections, and equipment status, and communicate updates to leadership daily
- Support additional maintenance tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Additional Hands-On Work
- Use power tools, welding equipment, and cutting tools to repair or fabricate metal components
- Operate lifts and other mobile equipment to safely access and maintain machinery and facility systems
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience or a combination of experience and trade school in building maintenance, material handling equipment, or refrigeration systems (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2)
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision once trained
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with teammates and leadership at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments, including cold storage (down to -20°F) and warmer dry storage areas (up to 100°F), with proper PPE provided
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (and occasionally more depending on the facility)
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends or adjusted shifts as needed
- Some locations may include higher noise levels or working at heights, with proper training and safety equipment provided
