General Operative - Coldstore - Days
We are currently seeking a Warehouse General Operative to replenish our products, pick products and cover general duties from our warehouse, preparing for these items to be distributed to our customers.
4 on 4 off 06:00-18:00
£11.79 per hour plus £25.00 per week shift allowance.
In this role you will:
Get a lot of exercise being on your feet all day and walking around our warehouse; the job is quite physical, and you can be lifting stock such as frozen cases of fish, vegetables, and cakes.
Report damages and claims to inventory control
You will do this in a freezer environment – approximately minus 18-20 Celsius – but we provide full PPE.
Follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
You will complete any ad hoc tasks as and when needed. For example: Pick products using a voice-controlled headset.
You will be using material handling equipment to run pallets and replenish pick bins on the mezzanine floors.
We are working in a safety conscious environment, and you will need to follow safety procedures at all times
Who we're looking for:
Accuracy is important so someone who likes to get things right first time
Things are heavy so you will need to lift up to 18kg (that’s about 10 bags of sugar)
You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
Due to limited public transport, you must either have a car or be able to cycle or walk to NG22 8TX
