The role:

We are looking for a Regional Security Manager to join our QHSSE team. This is part of the European team but most of this role will focus on security at our port locations in the Netherlands. This is a newly created role at Lineage and the person employed will have a lot of opportunities to propose and implement additional security measures and build the security standards from scratch. In this role you will spend most of the time in Vlissingen or Rotterdam so these two locations would be preferred to be based at.

About you:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, support implementation and monitoring Security standards, protocols, procedures and Security programs in Europe and align with international regulations.

  • Support and advice the organization on all related Security topics to create and ensure a safe and secure work environment and operations.

  • Drives and support behavioral and cultural change through implementing Lineage (LEAN) performance improvement programs and practices locally to ensure/create an exemplary QHSSE culture as well as a strong focus on security throughout the organization.

  • Support the organization with the reporting and investigation of all security incidents to identify causes and root causes. Feeds back and communicate lessons learned and best practices and global information to management and employees in the region.

  • Develop and perform security audits at all local facilities according to the defined audit program.

  • Has monthly meetings with the regional QHSSE managers and joins the monthly General/ site manager meetings in their region on all QHSSE related topics and progress.

  • Maintain contacts with official (enforcement) (local) authorities for certifications, licenses laws and regulations, etc. and in case of legal reportable incidents.

  • Support the local facilities with the local Emergency Response / business continuity plans and is the point of contact for the AEO certification and is member of the country crisis management team.

  • Facilitates security risks assessments, performed by line or project management, to provide security knowledge and involving shop floor employees, i.e., those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a proactive and hands on individual that understands warehouse and safety on port locations and have an ability to think outside the box always working proactively with security and safety in mind. Working as part of a global company you will work with a broad range of stakeholders, working together to achieve the best results.

  • Previous experience in working in security within a warehouse or ports is a big advantage but not a must

  • Security relevant related education (NEBOSH/AEO or equivalent) applicable to the country/ region.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization from hourly team members to senior management.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English to a professional standard.

  • Has a customer-oriented attitude and drive both internally and externally.

  • Knowledge of the applied warehouse management systems and equipment.

  • Ability to work remotely and be self- driven to complete tasks without supervision.

  • Able to work in a fast paced, growth and team-oriented environment and the ability to react and adapt to change.
