As the Global Privacy Manager at Lineage, you will play an important role in privacy policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with global data protection regulations. This role quires a deep understanding of privacy laws, risk mitigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Role & Responsibilities:

Privacy Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with global privacy laws and regulations.
  • Assess the organization’s data processing activities for compliance with applicable privacy laws.
  • Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures.

Data Protection Impact Assessments:

  • Conduct DPIAs for new projects and initiatives involving the processing of personal data.
  • Collaborate with project teams to mitigate privacy risks and ensure compliance.

Training and Awareness:

  • Provide privacy training to employees and raise awareness of privacy best practices.
  • Work closely with HR to integrate privacy training into onboarding processes.

Incident Response:

  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for privacy incidents.
  • Lead investigations into privacy breaches and coordinate appropriate responses.

Privacy by Design:

  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to implement privacy by design principles.
  • Ensure that privacy considerations are integrated into the development lifecycle.

Vendor Management:

  • Assess and manage privacy risks associated with third-party vendors.
  • Review and negotiate privacy terms in contracts with vendors.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain records of data processing activities and privacy compliance efforts.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation required for regulatory audits.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in privacy a plus.
  • CIPP certification through the IAPP.
  • 5+ years of proven experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive privacy initiatives.
