The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 2,500 team members.

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading parts of the warehouse operation, ensuring efficient productivity levels and excellent customer service. Based in Welisara, Sri Lanka, you will be joining a highly effective and experienced team.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Leads with the Lineage Values; Safe, Trust, Respect, Innovation, Bold, Servant Leadership.

• Lead shift safety initiatives and be a visible safety champion. Ensure company safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Manage the operation within agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer service.

• Ensure agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly review and take corrective actions to address any issues.

• Ensure productivity outcomes are achieved via direct supervision and allocation of tasks.

• Ensure all team members are trained to operate MHE and have a good understanding and use of the WMS.

• Provide effective scheduling of resources: resource planning, labour utilisation and efficiency.

• Ensure all instances of service failure or loss of or damage of goods are investigated and actioned.

• Ensure pallets are placed on racks correctly as per Company procedure.

• Ensure all inbound pallets are placed in locations and confirmed in WMS before closing the warehouse.

• Seek out and implement initiatives to improve operational performance and increase customer service.

• Always maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

• Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement with a focus on cost reduction.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent logistics industry experience.

• Holds a General Certificate of Examination.

• Experience leading a small operations team.

• Ability to determine labour and equipment to meet workloads.

• Strong understanding of MHE and traffic management.

• Strong understanding of KPIs, using them to monitor, improve and manage the operation.

• Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality, and legality issues.

• Good understanding of the relationships between labour costs, productivity, and profitability.

• Experience with WMS.

• Basic understanding of LEAN principles.

• Good verbal and written communication skills (Sinhala and English).

• Strong customer service, problem solving and influencing skills.

• Strong time management and organisational skills.

• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office).
