Position Details

As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint an Administration Assistant (internally a Business Services Representative) to join our team at our Cannon Hill facility in Brisbane.

The primary focus of this role is to support the efficient and effective running of Hemmant operations by being the conduit between the business and the customer.

This is an afternoon shift roster - 2.30pm to 10.30pm - and comes with an additional 15% shift allowance.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • The timely and accurate completion of all customer related activities to support effective revenue management

  • Supporting the business and team with administrative tasks, including but not limited to, in no order of importance: purchase order reconciliation, stock receipt and dispatch, warehouse and office consumable ordering, completion of export and import documentation, transport log management, accurate data entry, report analysis to identify delivery/pickup anomalies, booking of container crews and labour hire as requested. All other tasks as directed by your Manager

  • Ensuring positive customer interactions

  • Effectively implementing administration processes to ensure efficiency of activities within your scope of work

  • Following practices and procedures regarding Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), HACCP and Approved Arrangement guidelines whilst also ensuring Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance

  • Following and enforcing all food safety, quality and legality requirements

Your background and experience should ideally include:

  • Experience in a Customer Service or similar role (industry experience is preferable)

  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and influencing skills

  • Accurate and timely data entry skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office, WMS, TMS
