We are currently looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our team in Rotterdam.

As a General Ledger Accountant, you are responsible for the financial administration of one or several Lineage entities in the Netherlands or Belgium. You work closely with colleagues from Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting within the Shared Service Center. Your main goal is to maintain reliable financial records.

You can work in a hybrid model (60% office and 40% from home). The office is located on the Waalhaven Zuidzijde in Rotterdam. This position is particularly suitable for candidates with the ambition to (eventually) grow into other positions within the finance organization of Lineage, such as positions within Control or FP&A.

Duties and responsibilities:

• You handle the month-end closing for your entities.

• You are responsible for periodic reconciliations of several general ledger accounts.

• You take responsibility for the general ledger and ensure that entries are made in accordance with relevant accounting rules.

• You look for improvements in efficiency and the reliability of the records.

• You assist with the year-end closing and the annual audit by the external accountant.

• You file several VAT returns.

• You maintain one or more personnel-related bookings such as vacation day provisions, personnel hiring costs, and the in-and out-lending of personnel to other Lineage entities.

• You oversee the intercompany reconciliations for your entities and take responsibility for a portion of them.

• You ensure that entries and balances of general ledger accounts are documented and that general ledger accounts are actively managed.

Who are we looking for?

• At least HBO (higher professional education, Bachelor level).

• 1-10 years of relevant work experience

• Knowledge of automated (financial) data processing

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

• Knowledge of Workday Finance is a plus

• You need to be within commuting distance of Rotterdam
