Working Monday to Friday, Shift pattern is 08:00 – 16:30, 1 hour lunch, 37.5 hours per week.

We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Technical Manager/Specification Technologists Support to join our team located at our Heywood site..

As Technical Food Services Support, you will be joining our Yearsley Food team as we continue to grow our business throughout the UK and Ireland.

The role would suit someone who has been working with product specifications or who has quality experience in a food production environment. The successful applicant will report into the Director of Food Safety.

You must hold valid license and own your own vehicle as travel is required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and support to the technical team and sales managers.

  • Managing suppliers of products.

  • Management and maintenance of BRC Agents & Broker and Yearsley Food Ltd Procedures folder.

  • B2B technical support.

  • Review and approval of B2B supplying sites

  • Specification maintenance
    Ensuring up to date product information is held, including: C of A’s, Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Chlorates, Micro, etc

  • Managing and satisfying customer requests in a timely manner

  • Managing and monitoring complaints for all B2B sourced products

  • Site visits: Customer, Manufacturer, Repack.

  • Provides support to the Quality Assurance Assistants and Repack Manager

  • Maintenance of Food Hygiene qualifications for Repack staff

  • Obtaining product from B2B deliveries to review with the B2B team

  • Main accounts supported: all manufacturing customers
