Position DetailsAs we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are currently inviting applications for the role of Team Leader at our Lurnea facility in Sydney.
Rostered hours for this position are Monday to Friday 1:00pm-8:36pm.
Reporting to the shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management of site operations with a focus on safety, production and dispatch, customer service and team engagement.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the site consistent with company policy and procedures while bring a positive and inclusive approach to supporting a great team culture.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading site safety initiatives and being a visible safety champion.
Ensuring company safety policies and procedures are implemented.
Ensuring agreed customer service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly
Reviewing and taking corrective actions to address any issues.
Monitoring and measuring productivity against targets, identifying and implementing corrective actions to address any gaps.
Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement with a focus on cost reduction
Ensuring all staff are trained to operate all machinery/equipment and understanding the
Company’s warehouse work systems.
Developing and implementing succession planning by providing an environment for developing and motivating others and building effective teams.
Role modelling the values and behaviours: Lead by example, holding team to account on their behaviour and key objectives, enabling effective collaboration between teams.
To be successful, you will have:
Management experience in the logistics and transport industry, preferably 3PL.
Proven history of cost control and improvement
Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, regulatory requirements and standards.
Experience with managing customer relationships and resolution of issues.
Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues
Experience in the HACCP/Food Safety process in regard to critical control points
