Position Details

As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are currently inviting applications for the role of Business Development Manager to join the team at our Welisara facility in Sri Lanka.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and managing existing accounts.

The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the business environment, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customers.

  • Analyze the competitive landscape and industry developments to inform business strategies.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve business targets.

  • Identify and explore new market segments and niches that align with the company's strengths and capabilities.

  • Develop and launch new service offerings and solutions to meet emerging market needs.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.

  • Understand client needs and provide tailored cold storage and logistics solutions.

  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to ensure service quality and address any concerns.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.

Sales and Negotiation:

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.

  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.

  • Monitor sales performance and report on progress to the management.

  • Develop pricing strategies and proposals that align with market conditions and company objectives.

This role will also be responsible for the operational oversight of the facility, monitoring performance and working closely with leadership and operations teams to align business development strategies with organizational goals.

This will include facilitating cross-functional meetings to address operational challenges and improve service efficiency as well as regular reporting for country and regional leadership.
