We are a growing organization and are currently looking for a passionate and motivated Inventory Control Technician to join our winning team.


Job type : Permanent
Shift : Monday to Friday, 1:30pm- 10pm
Location : Lachine



POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Technician will be responsible for administrative tasks, inventory management procedures and day-to-day operations support. The person will work primarily on the day shift, with some flexibility to support teams on all shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in a culture where health and safety is the priority and comply with all regulatory and company safety requirements.
  • Proposal: Support the different operational departments according to the priorities of the warehouse activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications by working with the warehouse team to meet established expectations.
  • Implement operational processes through work instructions adapted to customer demands, while optimizing warehouse capacities to meet and/or exceed customer requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise by checking for discrepancies in quantity, product code, lot and damage.
  • Coordinate meat import/export inspections with CFIA inspector according to priorities and needs.
  • Provide support to operations in the coordination of special customer projects.
  • Proposal: Coordinate the implementation of special customer projects by working with the various departments.
  • Perform random quality checks on shipments
  • Proposal: Carry out random checks on shipments, verifying various quality parameters.
  • Perform weekly counts and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate physical inventory procedures.
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Assist in the maintenance of the loss prevention program.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • More than 2 years experience in warehouse and/or inventory management.
  • Be available for flexible hours for approximately 20% of the year to assist with vacation replacements and other planned or unplanned absences.
  • Committed to providing an exceptional experience to customers as well as internal and external contacts.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards the various issues to be resolved.
  • A strong sense of initiative to prioritize tasks.
  • Autonomy to manage time according to objectives and to solve problems creatively.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Good judgment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
