Lineage Drayage Services provides a streamlined connection between domestic warehouses and ocean transportation networks for importing and exporting goods. The Dispatcher Specialist supports daily communications and manages the routing, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers between loading docks and ports. This role demands strong critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily routing and dispatch schedules for drivers to meet on-time service requirements.
• Build collaborative relationships with warehouse personnel, internal drivers, carriers, and leadership to ensure efficient operations.
• Use a dynamic routing system for accurate record-keeping and efficient outbound product routing.
• Leverage expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage inbound and outbound orders.
• Monitor driver hours to ensure compliance and prevent violations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and transport industry standards.
• Maximize profit margins while meeting customer requirements.
• Communicate changes to delivery and backhaul assignments in response to unforeseen circumstances.
• Address issues promptly and provide thoughtful solutions to meet customer needs.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and customer service.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of port dispatching experience.
• Knowledge of shipping and transportation operations, including import/export processes.
• 2 years of experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to handle ambiguity.

Pay Range:$46,000.00 - $77,625.00
