Provide strategic direction and operational support to meet the established goals for a medium sized warehouse which carries a broad scope of responsibilities and complexity. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire Your Team: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing feedback to ensure top-notch productivity and efficiency across all operations.
Drive Operational Excellence: Take charge of achieving key performance goals, including Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and customer service standards. Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
Strategic Sales & Growth: Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies. From prospecting new accounts to negotiating contracts and closing deals, your leadership will be key in driving new business and fostering long-term client relationships.
Champion Customer Success: Ensure that our facilities and services consistently exceed customer expectations. Lead the charge in delivering exceptional service and building lasting client partnerships.
Budget & Resource Oversight: Take responsibility for managing budgets, capital expenditures, space utilization, and material handling to ensure the business meets its corporate financial goals. Optimize resources and ensure cost-effectiveness across all operations.
Prioritize Safety & Quality: Lead initiatives that ensure the highest standards of safety, food quality, and employee health and safety. Your leadership will directly impact how we handle products and manage the well-being of our teams.
What We’re Looking For:
Leadership Experience: You bring at least 5 years of experience in an operations management role, ideally in supply chain, logistics, or a related field. Your proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams will be key to your success.
Strategic Thinker: You are experienced in developing and implementing strategies to achieve operational, financial, and performance goals. Your ability to drive change and make data-driven decisions will help take our operations to the next level.
Continuous Improvement Expert: You’re knowledgeable in process optimization and familiar with methodologies like Six Sigma and LEAN. You thrive in environments where you can identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Team Development Passion: A strong advocate for people development, you’re committed to training, coaching, and empowering your team to succeed. You lead by example, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology, you have strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). You are eager to leverage technology to improve processes.
Excellent Communicator: Whether you’re presenting to executives, working with cross-functional teams, or engaging with clients, your communication skills are top-notch. You’re able to simplify complex issues for a diverse audience and build strong relationships.
Analytical & Solution-Oriented: You excel at analyzing data, identifying trends, and solving problems. You’re adept at navigating challenges and can provide clear, actionable solutions to improve performance.
Flexible & Resilient: This role requires you to work in dynamic environments, including cold and dry storage areas, and be adaptable to varying noise levels. You’re also comfortable with travel (up to 25%) and are physically capable of lifting at least 40 lbs./18 kgs.
