Senior Internal Auditor
Lineage Logistics
The Senior Internal Auditor will work both independently and collaboratively to conduct audits, identify risks, and provide value-added recommendations to senior management. Experience with data analytics tools and techniques is strongly preferred, and prior Big 4 experience is a plus.

Key duties and responsibilities
Audit Execution & Risk Assessment
- Plan and execute risk-based internal audit engagements in alignment with the annual audit plan.
- Conduct walkthroughs, assess risks, and evaluate internal controls across key business functions.
- Identify and analyze business risks, control deficiencies, and process inefficiencies.
- Utilize data analytics to enhance audit procedures, identify anomalies, and support risk assessments.
- Provide practical, actionable recommendations to improve internal controls and mitigate risks.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare high-quality audit reports, summarizing key findings, root cause analysis, and recommendations.
- Present audit results to management and collaborate on remediation efforts.
- Maintain clear and concise audit documentation in accordance with professional standards.
- Leverage data visualization tools to enhance reporting clarity and impact.
Compliance & Advisory
- Ensure compliance with internal audit standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advisory support on process improvements, business initiatives, and emerging risks.
- Support investigations related to fraud, compliance, and policy violations as needed.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with finance, operations, IT, and other business functions to enhance risk management and controls.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to the development of the internal audit methodology and risk assessment process.
- Assist in enhancing audit processes through technology-driven efficiencies and automation.
Minimum requirements (knowledge, skills, abilities)
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management experience.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE) preferred
- Big 4 experience is a plus.
- Data analytics experience is strongly preferred, with exposure to Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Python being an advantage.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial and operational data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
