Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift (Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM)

What You'll Do:
Perform hands-on inspections, basic repairs, and routine maintenance on equipment and systems that keep our facility running smoothly — this includes both mechanical and electrical components.
Help ensure the building and surrounding grounds stay in top shape by tackling tasks like calibrations, preventative maintenance, and general repairs.
Complete routine maintenance on material handling equipment following company and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist with refrigeration system checks and basic repairs.
Keep clear records of inspections, maintenance, and equipment updates — and communicate important updates with leadership daily.
Pitch in with other maintenance-related tasks as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Use power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to repair or join metal parts.
Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other motorized equipment to complete inspections and maintenance safely and effectively.
What You'll Need:
At least 1 year of experience, or a mix of experience and trade school training, in maintenance (this could include building systems, equipment maintenance, or refrigeration such as ammonia, Freon, or CO2 systems).
Able to follow instructions and complete preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.
Comfortable and skilled using power tools and hand tools.
Basic computer skills to log maintenance tasks and access technical documentation.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Great attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the spot.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs. (23 kg) or more (depending on the facility).
Willingness to work in a cold storage environment (as cold as -20°F/-25°C) or in warmer dry storage areas (up to 100°F/37°C), with appropriate protective gear provided.
Flexible with work hours — including occasional weekend shifts as needed.
Comfortable working around varied noise levels, including loud environments at some locations.
At some sites, you’ll need to be comfortable working at heights and using the appropriate safety gear.
