Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for logistics and carrier relations?

We’re looking for a Carrier Management Specialist to join our centralized Transportation Management team in Novi, MI. In this dynamic role, you’ll be the go-to expert for carrier management within your assigned region—playing a critical part in ensuring reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions across North America.

This is more than just a coordination role—you’ll build and grow carrier networks, drive performance through analytics and scorecards, and collaborate with operations to support long-term growth and efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary carrier point of contact for your region, leading daily carrier management operations.

  • Build, develop, and manage a strong, reliable network of carriers to ensure consistent capacity and competitive pricing.

  • Partner with operations to secure commitments and award freight to preferred carriers.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align carrier strategies with business objectives.

  • Oversee the full carrier onboarding process, including contract management, insurance verification, and safety compliance.

  • Monitor carrier performance using scorecards and KPIs; identify opportunities for improvement and drive accountability.

  • Support pricing initiatives, network optimization projects, and capacity planning for seasonal or volume-based needs.

What You Bring:

  • 1–3+ years of experience in carrier relations or transportation logistics; temperature-controlled, LTL, or dedicated carrier experience is a strong plus.

  • Solid understanding of transportation operations and carrier cost drivers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Strong analytical and communication skills—you can interpret data and build relationships with ease.

  • Familiarity with contract administration and compliance processes is a bonus.
