We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ESG Controllership Analyst to join our finance team. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data and reporting. This role is crucial in supporting our sustainability initiatives and maintaining transparency in our ESG disclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of ESG data collected from various sources, including internal departments and external partners.
  • Financial Reporting: Integrate ESG data into financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Compliance and Assurance: Support the development and implementation of internal controls and assurance processes for ESG data and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sustainability, finance, and other relevant teams to gather and validate ESG data.
  • Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to track progress against ESG targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Policy and Regulation Monitoring: Stay informed about relevant environmental regulations, standards, and best practices related to ESG reporting and controllership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving data collection processes, reporting accuracy, and overall ESG management practices.
  • Training and Education: Educate employees and stakeholders on ESG data management and reporting requirements through training sessions, workshops, and communication materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience in ESG reporting, financial reporting, or a related field.
  • Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and standards preferred (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental change.
