We are looking for a Financial Manager to join our team that is responsible for the financial closing for primarily the Dutch entities in Lineage. You will be part of a team that performs operational accounting, financial reporting, business partnering and much more. Our office is based in Rotterdam (Port City Building – Waalhaven Zuidzuide), The Netherlands.
Job Summary:
As a Financial Manager in Lineage, you will work with multiple stakeholders from both business control, tax department, treasury and the European corporate accounting team in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for accurate period end closing for the consolidation of Dutch entities where you are managing the finance team as well. We highly prioritize developing, implementing and improving our financial closing process and for that we need you on the team. You have several direct and indirect reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
Oversee the finance department and manage the finance team. This includes financial controllers as well (revenue) accounting teams in the Netherlands who are driving the financial accounting for the Dutch as well Belgian entities.
Responsible for the month end closing tasks and financial reporting for the legal entities in the Netherlands.
Coordinating the Internal month end closing process including review of analytical procedures, period end closing tracker, account reconciliations
Being the link between finance and the business control department
Ensure alignment between operational finance objectives and effective and efficient period end closing process
Responsible for managing the process of the external audit for group (US GAAP based) and consolidated financial statements based on Dutch GAAP including for managing the relation with the external auditor.
Improvement projects to ensure proper internal control framework.
Support our tax team in preparing the income and indirect tax declarations and the tax provisioning process under US GAAP.
Keeping yourself informed about changes in regulation, accounting and other relevant financial topics. Your input will therefore be important in the process of building best in class Finance processes.
Qualifications:
Accounting or Business Economics Degree complemented with a post graduate qualification RA / CPA or equivalent.
Experience in a similar position or within auditing and / or financial control
8 years of relevant accounting and finance manager position, preferably in an international company and/or in the 'big four'
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization both internally and externally
Exceptional organizational, prioritization and planning skills, and keen attention to detail. Feel energized by working in a high growth environment
You are proactive, communicative, analytical, responsible, and able to handle tight deadlines
Advanced IT skills like ERP-systems, we are using Workday Finance.
Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
As a person, you are goal-oriented, structured, and a dedicated team player with strong analytical skills. You take ownership of your projects and are driven by a professional curiosity. You are a good communicator and have excellent stakeholder management skills. You are used to and able to work in a fast-paced work environment with strict deadlines.
