Description

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst II is responsible for the establishment, execution, and documentation of functional requirements, acquired from internal and external stakeholders’ stories and use cases.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the systems, procedures, and application modules for evaluation, uncovering areas for improvement, and implementing solutions.
  • Create detailed technical requirements for simple and complex enhancements to existing systems and for new modules ensuring that solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct interviews with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to stay abreast of the design process.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes to develop optimization strategies.
  • Facilitate the change request process with clients, project manager and internal development team members.
  • Research and resolve operational questions or production support issues
  • Influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions
  • Assist with writing QA test cases for application development and perform manual QA testing
  • Assist with training and documentation efforts
  • Write and release communications for enhancements to existing systems
  • Attend weekly meetings to share ideas and discuss findings to determine the applicability of changes to our modules

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create detailed documentation and provide meaningful reports
  • Knowledge of project management and software development life cycle and the ability to hit project milestones.
  • Advanced technical skills, including competency using Microsoft Suite applications
  • Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks promptly.
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with SaaS operational environment
  • Ability to lead requirement-gathering sessions
  • Review and analyze documentation, use cases/stories, business rules, and process flows to determine what applies to our business and writing requirements
  • Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to build positive relationships and gain trust
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Health insurance/Billing/Agent commissions experience is preferred
  • Experience working with CMS is preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of a few years of relevant work experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and industry-specific knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended time
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight
