Job Summary:

The Vice President of Payor Strategy serves as a strategic bridge between mPulse’s technical solutions and the needs of health plan customers and the broader market. This executive leader drives customer advocacy, strengthens strategic relationships, elevates thought leadership, and ensures adoption of mPulse’s member experience solutions. The role requires deep health plan expertise, strong executive presence, and the ability to translate technology into measurable business outcomes and ROI.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technology and industry subject matter expert (SME) presenting mPulse’s vision, outcomes, and ROI in customer and industry settings.
  • Build and lead a customer advocacy program that generates testimonials, case studies, and executive references.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership for the Customer Advisory Council and Quality Improvement Advisory Council programs.
  • Own and expand the customer speaker roster for conferences, webinars, and industry engagements.
  • Participate in and shape mPulse thought leadership initiatives, including webinars, conference presentations, and content strategy.
  • Attend industry events as an SME and champion high-value customer touchpoints such as workshops, executive dinners, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams on account targeting strategies aligned to customer needs and product opportunities.
  • Develop strategic marketing touchpoints to support customers at key milestones in their lifecycle.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to increase customer participation in mPulse programs and events.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder supporting broader Customer Experience strategies and enterprise initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive landscape, regulatory changes (Medicare, Medicaid, Stars, HEDIS), and emerging technology trends (digital engagement, conversational AI, interoperability), and share actionable insights internally and externally.

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Strong executive presence with confidence presenting to senior health plan leaders and large audiences (virtual and in-person).
  • Deep understanding of health plan member experience, consumer journey touchpoints, and quality performance drivers.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B SaaS solutions within the health plan market.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and networking capabilities within the health plan ecosystem.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a hands-on approach to content creation.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health IT, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of health plan experience in senior leadership roles across quality, member experience, operations, or member services.
  • Demonstrated experience working within or alongside B2B SaaS health technology organizations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
