To support our rapid growth in the European footprint in a short period, we are looking to appoint a Management Accountant for the UK, based at the head office in Heywood (hybrid role). This person will have global exposure, with stakeholders from across Europe and the US.

The Management Accounting will be assisting in the preparation of the month end accounts within a timely manner for several trading entities within a large group. You will be technically adept, analytically minded and driven to meet deadlines with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations to a SOX compliant standard

• Assist with project work within the finance team, such as software implementation

• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Use initiative to problem solve

• Management and development of a small team

• Ability to handle large sets of data

• Identifying flows in processes

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A professional accounting qualification is a must

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to meet deadlines consistently

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex financial information effectively to global stakeholders

• High ethical standards and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity

• Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Experience with the system Workday

• Exposure to US GAAP

• Work experience in international companies
