We are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join our team located at our Heywood depot.
We are looking for a confident communicator who is able to assume responsibility and make decisions out of hours. In this role you will manage the Central Transport on a day to day basis, where you will be tracking deliveries, booking in drivers, dealing with general administration, managing our customers and taking responsibility for the planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor the group transport delivery schedule
Transport end of shift handover for the fleet
Liaise with Lineage Logistics depots and delivery points
Driver and fleet assigning using transport planning system
De-briefing drivers
Book agency drivers and monitor sub-contractors
Delivery rejections - temperature, damages, wrong product
Create goods return notification (GRRS) for all delivery issues
Vehicle and trailer breakdowns
Stock allocation
Central tracking (monitoring drivers)
Diary departure management
Scanning, indexing and filing
Invoicing and status reports
What are we looking for?
Good telephone manner
Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Ability to work well in a pressurised department
Quick learner
Basic skills on a computer
