Technical Food Services Assistant - Working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to join our Yearsley food sales team located at our Heywood depot.

The role would suit someone who has a food background, be it through education or perhaps they are currently working for a food company. Within the team we encourage and support training which is available for the right applicant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reports into Director, Food Safety or in their absence one of the Technical Managers.

• To promote the Lineage Values of Safe, Trust, Bold, Respect, Innovation and Servant Leadership.

• Obtaining product from deliveries to review

• Managing Customer Weekly Review sheets

• Managing retailer’s information: Tesco, Sainsbury, Iceland, Morrisons, Asda.

• Ensuring the suppliers are aware of the complaints when received and complaints are closed out with complainant.

• Managing complaints.

• Nutrition analysis verification.

• Sample retrieval from Coldstore and retailers.

• Obtaining and providing specifications and product information as requested.

• Managing the product sampling programme

• To coordinate the sampling programme and keep track of products checked (RAG sheet)

• Managing our internal BRC A&B compliance procedures

• Communicating with customers and suppliers across the world.

• Supporting our repack facility.
