We are seeking an experienced International Tax Director to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international tax compliance, tax structuring, M&A tax, and tax planning. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring our company's adherence to international tax regulations and optimizing our global tax strategy to support our ongoing growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the international tax compliance process, including the preparation and review of complex international tax returns, disclosures, and related documentation.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on international tax matters, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across various jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for global operations, acquisitions, and investments, while managing associated risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to provide tax advice and support on various business initiatives and transactions.
  • Lead the tax due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions, identifying tax risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to optimize the transaction's tax implications.
  • Play a key role in international tax planning strategies to minimize the company's global tax liability and maximize tax efficiencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in international tax laws and regulations, assessing their potential impact on the company and recommending necessary adjustments to tax strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and tax authorities to ensure effective communication and resolution of tax-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax team members, fostering their professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's in Taxation, JD and/or CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in international tax compliance, tax structuring, M&A tax, and tax planning.
  • Strong knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with tax software and technology solutions for tax compliance and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide and develop junior team members.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a rapidly evolving industry and organization.
  • Experience in the REIT, logistics or transportation industry is a plus.
