The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 3000 team members.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the effective relationship management of customer base, strategic development within key accounts and identify potential of new business opportunities across the Vietnam operations. This role also provides support to projects ranging from growth strategy, market analysis, operational improvement, and supply chain design.

  • Continually pursue and win significant new warehouse, transport and convenience business that is aligned with the corporate goals and strategy.
  • Plan, cost and negotiate new business proposals, including presentation of proposals to management and customers.
  • Develop an understanding of and network within the Vietnam market to identify opportunities and drive projects.
  • Implement opportunities within Vietnam for FMCG, Retail, Food Service, QSR businesses and Wholesale Trading businesses delivered on time and in full.
  • Explore new products and assess on its feasibility of entering Vietnam markets.
  • Explore and expand the food processing business arm in Vietnam such as establishing food production strategies for sustainability.
  • Drafting of capacity plans to evaluate on the sustainability of new/or modified manufacturing processes.
  • Proactively monitor the overall progress of the project portfolio, helping identify issues and implementation of corrective action as appropriate, including the development of appropriate contingency plans.
  • Achieve agreed growth targets by implementing strategies to expand services or win new business.
  • Respond to and write tenders and proposals.
  • Project manage large tender proposals with the appropriate team support.
  • Engage in contract and service level negotiations with customers.
  • Ensure current contracts are managed in a way that meets customer expectation via agreed objectives.
  • Provide ongoing feedback from customers to operations management to ensure continuous improvement of services.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Company operational and administration capabilities and general industry trends.
  • Effectively represent the Company to the customer and report back via formal reviews and other management reports.
  • Implement the Customer Relationship Management system – Salesforce.
  • Provide Strong Leadership to mentor and motivate the BD/Sales team in achieving the yearly company set Sales Target objectives.
  • Management of sustainable customer pricing and rate reviews: ensuring correct pricing and review tools are being used; timely reviews are conducted; reviews are aligned with customer agreements; reviews take account of any scope or service change.
  • Coordinate, oversee and participate in operational and commercial meetings with customers as per the account management schedule in the Company’s Contract and Particulars, and additionally as and when required.
  • Report weekly on the status of key customer accounts, opportunities, and other Account Management/Business Development matters, highlighting key issues and opportunities for further discussion and action.
  • Facilitate and expedite daily Account Management decisions as required throughout the business with regard to: the Company’s business rules; The Particulars (of the Agreement between the Company and the customer) or other service level agreement or commitment with the customer.
  • Identify and implement on-going business improvement and improved Account Management tools to support both the Company and its customer service.
  • Entertain customers as and when appropriate, as approved by the Director, Business Development.
  • Develop people to meet both their career and organisational goals, builds strong identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspective to achieve common goals (through 1:1’s and development discussions).

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years plus experience in a similar role, preferably within a 3PL and trading environment.
  • Proven track-record of customer management, preferably at a senior level, and able to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions within a 3PL environment.
  • Exposure to, or knowledge of, refrigerated 3PL services.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain and logistics operating models.
  • Process-focused and analytical by nature: able to support recommendations with data and competent research.
  • Sound consulting skills: good at working at both a strategic as well as at a tactical level.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the English language.
