Salary: £55,000- £65,000 annual salary

Lineage’s Heywood facility on Hareshill Road delivers cutting-edge automated cold storage with 24/7 operational capabilities. Supporting import/export services, like drayage and customs brokerage, this strategically located site offers value-added supply chain services, like case picking, freight consolidation, retail consolidation and co-packing services.
We are currently looking for a new Maintenance Manager to lead a team of 10 engineers supporting 3 sites. Initial focus will be on Heywood with another 2 smaller sites included at a later stage.
The role:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Facilities Engineering and Maintenance function. You will provide direction and operational support of all Automated Warehouse equipment, refrigeration contractor management, material handling equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance activities within their locations. This includes supporting internal and external stakeholder expectations and contributing toward achieving departmental goals. Emphasis is on delivering high quality goods and services to the organization at the lowest cost in a sustainable and ethical manner.
Some of your key responsibilities:
•Managing the performance of maintenance work, both preventative and corrective (Mechanical and electrical)
•Focus on safety compliance and related legal aspects
•Carrying out and registering mandatory technical inspections
•To advise and initiate action in your site on the Lineage Europe Maintenance and Engineering strategy in consultation with the Regional Engineering Manager
•Work closely with the Site Management to ensure timely and correct coordination of the actions/activities to be taken.
•Administering company policies and manage local SOPs
•Establishing and implementing metrics
•Work on sustainability projects (reducing CO2 impact of Lineage)
•Review and analyse activities, costs, operations, and forecasted data and champion process improvement
•Working on site Capex and Opex project under the guidance of the Regional Engineering Manager
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a strong Maintenance leader that can help the team to provide reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. It is essential to be people-oriented and really focus on demonstrating our values and support to all employees.
To thrive in this role, you'll ideally need:
Previous experience of successful distribution and warehouse engineering/maintenance management and leadership
Experience working with refrigeration systems at industrial level
a business background to include competency in maintaining/engineering the various functional areas of refrigeration, MHE, building maintenance, warehouse automation, IT systems, and supply chain optimization
Relevant certifications
