Due to our growth, we have an immediate need for 2 Full-time Maintenance Mechanics to our 1st Shift Team!. Hours are Monday-Friday 4 AM- 12:30 PM. Pay ranges from $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience.

We are Ever Better Eating, Inc., a Pittsfield, NH production facility and famous for our organic hand formed pizza and crusts, also known as Rustic Crust - American Flatbread.

Job Summary:
This position is a hands-on role responsible for handling a variety of day to day situations that arise, and keeping our production lines running smoothly and efficiently. Responsible to make repairs to minimize down time.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties:

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production, packaging equipment , conveyers and machines
• Address and solve mechanical/electrical issues on the line(s) as they occur
• Fabricate parts which may require cutting, grinding, welding, machining
• Building maintenance may include, light plumbing, electrical, carpentry issues, floor/wall patchwork, lighting
• May install, repair, maintain electrical motors, switches
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and make repair
• Adjust functional part of devices and digital line controls
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout plant as needed or assigned
• Follow safety programs, including lock-out, tag-out
• Observe production equipment running optimally, with ability to identify defects and resolve issue proactively
• Clean tools and work areas regularly
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills:

• Strong mechanical skills, aptitude and knowledge of production line manufacturing machines
• Knowledge and understanding of fabrication
• Strong electrical knowledge, skills and experience to diagnose and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Basic Plumbing experience and understanding of how systems work
• Desire and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, charts, etc.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines, respond with a sense of urgency
• Possess excellent communication skills, verbal, electronic and written. Communicate with others internally and professionally
• Ability to perform duties both outside and inside in varying conditions including cold, heat, wet or dry conditions
• Have reliable transportation to travel between our 2 buildings (1/2 mile apart)

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, ideally technical education and/or certificates
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide
