We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Inventory Control & Process Optimization to join our team at ShipMonk. As a member of the Inventory Control & Process Optimization team, this role will be responsible for ensuring best-in-class levels of inventory control across multiple ShipMonk fulfillment centers, as well as being a catalyst for, and owner of process optimization efforts which will improve service and drive efficiency within in our fulfillment center operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, account management, customer experience, and finance, to optimize inventory management processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Implement and drive adherence to best practices and standard operating procedures related to inventory management, including receiving, cycle counting, replenishment, order picking, and order packing.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and technology to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and operational efficiency, and develop action plans to address any issues.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with inventory control standards and regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes and optimize warehouse operations, both on-site and across multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on inventory performance, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work with and through local operations partners to ensure the delivery of performance objectives, leading from the front, and on the operational floor, to provide direct support in pursuit of operational excellence.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in e-commerce fulfillment operations, inventory management, and process optimization, preferably in a fulfillment center or distribution environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of driving results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset. With the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights using analytical tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, etc.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software, such as ERP systems and warehouse management systems.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Lean program leadership and/or certification(s) preferred.
