TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia, Las Vegas, NV, Reno, NV and Holt, MI. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain, such as Styrofoam coolers. Description:


The Procurement Analyst at TemperPack is responsible for analyzing and managing the procurement of materials and services directly and indirectly associated with company operations. The Procurement Analyst requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement. TemperPack is committed to environmentally friendly solutions, and as such the Procurement Analyst must be knowledgeable about sustainable materials and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage procurement processes: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing procurement processes, including identifying and evaluating potential vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Analyze procurement data: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor supplier performance: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain procurement records: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for issuing and maintaining procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. This includes entering PO’s into the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Procurement Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Production, and Finance, to ensure that procurement activities support the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
  • Cost Saving Initiatives: The Procurement Analyst should proactively identify areas within the organization where savings could be found.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and trends.
  • Some experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting preferred.
  • Experience using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP/Oracle.

Education:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
