Join a company that knows the value of its employees and works with you to develop your career goals. We are currently seeking a Dock Clerk to join the team at our Richmond, VA location.
As a Dock Clerk, you are responsible for verifying the product for outgoing shipments that has been staged and ensure the product being loaded is correct. Attention to detail is needed at this position.
Qualifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Verifies each gaylord loaded checking pack count, part number, and batch number and initials each tag
- Fills out a loading sheet for each shipment
- Verifies materials from inbounds, making sure what is received corresponds with what is on the shipper’s paperwork and labels accordingly.
- Ensures the driver signs the shipping paperwork and seals the trailer
- Checks loads that have been pulled for verification and signs off on the load verification sheet
- Maintains clean docks in between shipments
- Updates the Daily Customer Shipping Report as needed for shipments
- Directs the forklift drivers on what loads need to be pulled and/ or shipped
Experience:
- Warehouse/manufacturing experience
- General user experience with computers is preferred
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
