Validic, Inc. is a digital health and remote care company devoted to our mission of improving the quality of human life by making personal data actionable. We’re seeking a Vice President, Marketing, who will serve as the strategic leader for the company’s commercial marketing efforts to drive overall growth of the company, including strategic go-to-market, lead generation, brand awareness, and public relations. This role plans, oversees, and participates in the development of lead generation campaigns, sales assets, brand assets, and events to bolster the company’s market position and market share. This individual is responsible for developing and implementing clear, consistent company messaging across healthcare markets and channels, specifically health systems and health plans.

The Vice President, Marketing will further enhance Validic’s position as a leader, expert, and standard in healthcare technology by developing and executing best-in-class marketing strategies and campaigns that lead to sales pipeline and revenue growth. In addition to setting the strategy, this role will oversee and perform the execution of commercial and digital marketing tactics to support customer acquisition, retention, and growth. The Vice President, Marketing will lead the company’s go-to-market strategies for new products, features, and partnerships.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to reset and rebuild the marketing infrastructure of an established and respected digital health company. The role is for a player-coach, initially a team of one, supported by contractors for any work that cannot be accomplished internally. This role is expected to work collaboratively with the Senior Management and Commercial teams to set and exceed company commercial targets and KPIs. With success in these areas, it is expected this role will evolve into building and developing a high performing team to expand on these efforts.

As a member of the leadership team, this person is responsible for drafting and managing the marketing budget, building forecasts, and helping set and meet corporate goals.

What You’ll Do at Validic

Commercial Marketing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive demand generation strategies targeting enterprise healthcare organizations, with a focus on health systems and health plans
  • Design, implement, and optimize multi-channel campaign strategies including email, content marketing, and digital advertising to drive consistent pipeline growth
  • Create and maintain a marketing-qualified lead (MQL) scoring system in collaboration with Sales team to ensure quality pipeline generation
  • Manage marketing automation platform to ensure effective lead nurturing and scoring
  • Create and maintain a content calendar aligned with sales priorities and market opportunities
  • Build and manage relationships with industry analysts (KLAS, Gartner, Forrester) to ensure inclusion in relevant research and reports
  • Develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and collateral that effectively communicate Validic's value proposition
  • Partner with Client Success team to develop compelling customer case studies and ROI analysis
  • Establish clear ROI metrics for all marketing initiatives and regularly report on performance to leadership

Branding and Positioning

  • Define and maintain consistent brand messaging, voice, and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to inform brand strategy and positioning
  • Create and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all internal and external communications
  • Oversee website content strategy and optimization to reflect current brand positioning
  • Lead competitive analysis efforts to identify market opportunities and differentiation strategies
  • Develop clear positioning statements and value propositions for each product line and target market segment
  • Maintain and evolve the company's visual identity system across all marketing materials
  • Develop thought leadership content that establishes Validic as an industry expert

Public Relations and Corporate Communications

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to increase brand visibility and thought leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare and technology media outlets, industry influencers, and key opinion leaders
  • Create and distribute press releases for product launches, partnerships, and company news
  • Manage speaking opportunities at industry conferences and events
  • Develop executive communications including speeches, presentations, and bylined articles
  • Oversee social media strategy and content to build brand awareness and engagement
  • Create crisis communication plans and manage external communications during critical situations
  • Coordinate with partners on joint marketing and PR initiatives

Team Development and Culture

  • Build and manage relationships with external contractors and agencies to support marketing initiatives
  • Develop clear processes and workflows for marketing operations and campaign execution
  • Create and maintain marketing budget and resource allocation plans
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for future Marketing team members
  • Identify opportunities for team expansion and create hiring plans as company grows
  • Foster a data-driven, results-oriented marketing culture
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Commercial and Product
  • Mentor and develop future Marketing team members as the department expands

What You'll Bring to Validic

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare technology or digital health required
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that directly contribute to revenue growth
  • Demonstrable experience building and managing marketing programs targeting enterprise healthcare organizations
  • Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, specifically health systems and health plans
  • Experience managing relationships with industry analysts (KLAS, Gartner, Forrester) and securing favorable coverage
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Experience with generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for productivity
  • Track record of successful collaboration with Commercial teams to support pipeline development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for C-level audiences
  • Demonstrable experience managing marketing budgets and reporting on ROI
  • Excellent project management skills, high attention to detail, and works well in fast-paced environment

The Fine Print

Location: Remote U.S. Based - Our core hours are 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer - In the future, this role may report to a Chief Revenue Officer.

Status: Full-Time/Exempt - No contract or contract to hire requests are being considered.

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $190,000-$200,000 per year plus bonus. Placement within salary range is determined by level of education, knowledge and skills, and relevant years of experience beyond the minimum job requirements. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/life insurance, flexible spending accounts, equity, 401(k), and flexible time off/work schedule.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a variety of environments with multiple distractions. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel 20% or more.
