Position Summary
As Sr. Manager, Sales Operations, this role will lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and deliver cutting-edge transportation technology solutions, empowering customers and partners while strengthening Rekor's industry leadership.
The Contribution:
Sales Management
- Lead and manage a diverse sales team of talented Inside Sales and Sales Development colleagues.
- Recruit, hire, develop and inspire a high-performing sales team, through learning and development to enable a growth-mindset, setting clear performance goals and expectations, with specific aggressive revenue targets .
- Provide, coach, mentor and train, with sales materials, competitive insights, and product knowledge to enable sales team effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze key sales performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure target achievement.
- Develop, implement, and optimize scalable sales processes to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
- Streamline lead qualification, sales outreach, and opportunity management for a predictable pipeline.
- Work closely with marketing to align demand generation efforts with sales objectives.
- Drive pipeline growth through strategic prospecting, lead nurturing, and targeted outreach.
- Collaborative engagement with multiple internal sales, finance, marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of sales systems and processes.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, and networking events to promote partnerships and market expansion.
Sales Operations
- Oversee effective use of CRM and sales tools to manage customer data and sales activities.
- Ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and insightful analytics to guide decision-making.
- Identify and implement new technologies and automation tools to enhance sales efficiency.
Market Expansion
- Identify new market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies for expansion.
- Provide industry, visionary, thought leadership to advance our solutions in the market driving share growth
- Stay current of industry trends, share intelligence and market research, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in sales approaches.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing high-value sales opportunities.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.

A highly energetic and customer Sales focused individual who is knowledgeable about and/or interested in the transportation technology industry and business savvy to deliver state of the art cutting edge technology solutions for our customers. You bring to the organization the following competencies:
- Sales Manager with 7 – 10 years progressive leadership and driving revenue experiences in Transportation Management industry and State DOT customers strongly preferred
- Strong at coaching and developing early in career sales team with clear performance revenue goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse audiences across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated collaboration, ability to influence decision makers, relationship builder, outstanding business ethics, and proven negotiation skills.
- Geo: Prefer DC/ MD/ VA metro area, In office w/ some hybrid flexibility
- Travel requirement : 25% domestic
